Can you smell that? It’s the scent of fresh start fever! British alt-rock institution You Me At Six have announced their sixth album – the aptly named ‘IV’ – which will be released October 5th via Underdog Records/AWAL.

To usher in their new era, following on from last years moody Night People, they’ve dropped not one, but two, yes two, new singles: the uplifting alt-pop jam 3am and its moodier alt-rock brother Fast Forward.

Commenting on their new era, having co-produced the record as a band with Dan Austin (Biffy Clyro, Massive Attack, Pixies), frontman Franceschi said:

“You have to make music for yourself, because without authenticity people are going to smell the bullshit. None of us are going to into this with any fear, because we’ve made something we can stand behind.”

The track-list is as follows:

  1. Fast Forward
  2. Straight To My Head
  3. Back Again
  4. Miracle In The Mourning
  5. 3AM
  6. I O U
  7. Pray For Me
  8. Predictable
  9. Danger
  10. Losing You

To celebrate the new album, we’ve ushered in our own new feature – All Killer, No Filler – which is a collection of an artist’s finest album-only cuts. Let us know in the comments below what your favourite You Me At Six deep cuts are!
