Brooklyn indie-folk darlings Big Thief have announced their new album ‘Two Hands’ – their second full-length release of 2019 – due for release on October 11th via 4AD.

Coming only months after the release of their critically-acclaimed celestial folk outing U.F.O.F, Two Hands trades the former’s mysterious layers and efforts for levitation for a dried-out, cracked desert dirt vibe. The album was recorded live with almost no overdubs and was designed to be completely different and organic.

Vocalist Adrianne Lenker comments: “Two Hands has the songs that I’m the most proud of; I can imagine myself singing them when I’m old. Musically and lyrically, you can’t break it down much further than this. It’s already bare-bones.”

Two Hands is being billed as political songs without political language that explore the collective wounds of our Earth.
