After much speculation and mass patience from desperate fans, Travis Scott has finally confirmed himself that his highly anticipated new project ‘Astroworld‘ is to drop this upcoming Friday, August 3rd.

Travis tweeted today (July 30th) confirming the recent rumours that long-time GOOD Music producer Mike Dean wildly stoked the flames for yesterday by posting the date on an Instagram story along with telling fans they’re “going to shit your fuckin’ pants” (a big endorsement) when they hear the project. Travis‘ confirmation tweet (which is embedded below) also features a link to brand new track ‘Stargazing‘ that acts as a teaser for ‘Astroworld‘ – check it out:

Friday, August 3rd is set to be a momentous and busy day for the world of hip-hop, with ‘Astroworld”s release coinciding with the drop of Mac Miller‘s new project ‘Swimming‘ and YG‘s ‘Stay Dangerous‘ album.

We’re certainly set for an entertaining weekend of new music to digest this weekend, and the summer of hip-hop releases continues to gather strength following the GOOD Music five project run and last Friday’s superb offering ‘TA13OO‘ from Denzel Curry.

Astroworld‘ will come as the 26 year old autotune patron’s third release in three years, following 2016 sophomore project ‘Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight‘ and 2017’s collaboration album with Quavo (Migos) ‘Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho‘ – certainly quite prolific.

Many fans are rejoicing at finally having a confirmed release and the opportunity to soon be able to hear the album, as it has been on the cards since the title of his 3rd full-length was affirmed back in May 2016. Scott then said that ‘Astroworld‘ was set for a release in the first quarter of 2017 – the project may seem overdue in this light for fans however, it is widely believed Travis has enacted as quite the perfectionist with this release which would explain what seem like release set backs but should prove worth it for the waiting faithful.
