The second single from the Lamb of God axeman’s upcoming debut album has been released in the form of ‘Cross Off‘, featuring the late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington.

The track consists of Morton taking on all guitar responsibilities, with help from Trivium duo Alex Bent and Paolo Gregoletto on the drums and bass respectively. The track was conceived with Bennington in mind as vocalist and when he was approached to get involved was fully enthusiastic and brought his unique singing style into the mix.

Speaking about working with Chester on ‘Cross Off‘, Morton said it “was a very free flowing and natural process. We both really loved the song from its inception and everyone that worked on it put a lot of energy and emotion into it. I feel like you can really hear that in the track, and absolutely in Chester’s performance.”

Mark Morton’s debut solo album ‘Anesthetic‘ is due for release on 1st March 2019 via WPP / Spinefarm Records and can be pre-ordered now here.
