Canada native Mitchell Bailey has dropped the music video for brand new track Hold That Down that see’s Bailey enlist Coventry rapper Skatta to make this a juicy transatlantic collaboration!

Bailey believes Hold That Down flaunts an authentic British influence, stating: “We thought the production had various similarities to UK grime, which we were listening to lots at the time, along with conveniently coming across Skatta’s music. I reached out, he enjoyed the record, sent me his verse back within the next few days and the rest was history.”

The track boasts a minimalist production approach, courtesy of Nookie Beats who cooked up a real atmospheric sound for Bailey and Skatta to waltz all over – which is exactly what they do:

Bailey’s last two releases have peaked at #4 and #6 respectively on the Canadian iTunes hip-hop charts, and with this new single he is hoping to grace the charts again!

Skatta has been putting in the work and building up a reputation for being an exciting cross-over prospect, with versatility a key strength of the Coventry rapper who has gained acclaim from BBC 1Xtra host Sian Anderson, among others!
