Grime punk hybrid trio Pengshui have caused a considerable ruckus in their short time on the scene, and with their latest effort No Joke they are continuing to do just that.

Raw as hell and buoyed by an aggressive groove, Pengshui are curating an exceptionally signature sound with each new track they deliver. It’s one thing through a set of speakers, but this is a band definitely best intended for the live capacity and anyone who has attended one of the many incendiary Pengshui performances so far will attest to that.

Speaking about the track and the group’s ethos, frontman Illaman states: “After all, grime is the new punk. You go to a grime night now and everyone’s moshing. Grime and punk are both made up of people with something to say politically and personally, who’ve got this DIY spirit and desire to fuck shit up.”
