LoveSick Radio (LSR) brings a distinctive blend of unapologetic rock guitar coupled with pop melodies and a little hip-hop swagger, creating a fresh sound all their own. The band have built themselves a strong and loyal fan base from relentless touring and hard work that has seen them play at a variety of big festivals and alongside some great names. As LoveSick have recently began production on the their new record, with guitarist David Harris co-producing with Joe Viers (Twenty One Pilots) & producer Warren Huart (The Fray, Aerosmith) on new tracks, we decided to speak with David to find out a bit about the group!
What is LoveSick Radio all about?
We are a rock n roll band. It’s pretty simple, we are aren’t trying to change the world we just want to write great music, have a killer time & have the listener go on that journey with us.
Who would you say are your biggest musical influences?
Everyone in the band has a wide range of influences but we kinda meet in the middle with bands like The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Rival Sons, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Sex Pistols, Tom Petty, Stereophonics & The Black Crowes
What inspired you to start making music?
For me it was these records from my moms records collection that forever changed me when I was a little kid. They made me obsessed with music! – ‘Physical Graffiti‘ by Led Zeppelin, ‘Band of Gypsies‘ by Jimi Hendrix, ‘Pump‘ by Aerosmith and ‘Some Girls‘ by The Rolling Stones.
Tell us about the latest project?
What we have been doing this past year is releasing a new song every other month. We just released our song ‘Young Hurricane‘ this past month. It’s been a live favourite for a while. I’m glad it finally got a proper release.
Is there a particular message you wish to get across through your music?
I would love for people to be able to escape their everyday problems when they come to a show & listen to the music. That’s what rock n roll has always done for me.
What are your plans for 2019?
Touring, touring, touring & releasing more music as well as a full length record!
