Ahead of the release of his upcoming sophomore album ‘Death Moves‘ on 1st October, London rap-karate maestro Dabbla has dropped the video for new single ‘Long Gone‘, which features his Dead Players co-barring partner Jam Baxter. Anyone who is familiar with the wizardry of Dead Players will know straight away this tune ain’t playing, and that’s exactly the case.
Certainly one for the ravers – exuding vibes, supplying an illustrious mix of wavy flows, philosophical raps and braggadocio – exactly as we have come to expect from whenever the incomparable duo share a mic on a tune. The chemistry heralded by the Dead Players duo never fails to excite.
A creeping, haunting instrumental leads the way for Dabs & Baxter to conjure up a spellbinding concoction that gets interwoven with a pervasive, driving bassline that comes in intermittently, kicking in at the chorus to really up the ante.
‘Long Gone‘ is one of many, many bangers to make you ebullient that makes up Dabbla’s new project ‘Death Moves‘ which is due to come out on 1st October via Potent Funk Records – you can pre-order it here.
A launch show party for the release of the record is being held on the 5th October at The Old Blue Last in London, with tickets available here.
