Royal Rumble potential returns/debuts Part 4…

2.) Rey Mysterio

Since leaving WWE in 2014 Rey has thrived in other wrestling promotions and has found plenty of opportunities to succeed and be noticed outside of the WWE. Mainly in AAA in Mexico and Lucha Underground, Rey has managed comfortably to remain in the spotlight even without WWE. Now at 43 years of age, Mysterio is still in his prime and is arguably in the best shape of his life. Rey is no longer under contract with any promotions, he has to be considered one of the hottest free agents available. Both WWE and Impact Wrestling were interested in signing Rey late last year but nothing materialised. This was supposedly because of money disputes when it came to contact negotiations. Could that soon be resolved? If so, i can imagine there is a very good chance of Mysterio making a surprise return at this years Royal Rumble…
